Team Profile : Tin Eng & Broccoli

Tin Eng started getting into dog sports in 2012 with his first dog broccoli.

While relatively new to the sports, Tin Eng has made up for 'lost time' with hardwork and dedication to the sports.

He is currently the chairman for the organizing committee for USDAA sanctioned trial in Singapore and is also a certified USDAA agility judge.

His dog broccoli has taken part in numerous dog agility in Singapore and has earned titles in local SKC trials (AD,JD) and USDAA (PD, SPS, SPJ,SPK ) sanctioned trials. He also obtained the qualifying score to take part in the World Agility Championship in 2016.

Team Profile: Lucas Bong and Bailey

The team captain, Lucas Bong is a pioneer in dog sports in Singapore. A professional trainer as well as owner of his own school, Smartdoggy Academy, he is responsible for training a large number of agility competitors in Singapore. A good number of his students are currently the top tier competitors in Singapore!

A Certified dog trainer in dog sports since 1990, Lucas also hold various certifications and responsibilities including:
  • Official AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore) Pioneer Batch Accredited Dog trainer & Canine behaviourist
  • Director of Dog Agility & Dog Sports training with PETAS (Pets Enterprises & Traders Association)
  • PETAS Approved Agility Judge for Regional Championship Trial.
  • Singapore Kennel Club Dog Agility International Championship Judge
  • Professional Certified Canine Handler & Advanced Skilled Trainer with Singapore Provost Military Dog Unit
  • Voluntary Senior Consultative Committee Member for the Singapore Kennel Club, as Vice Chair of Dog Sports Committee division.
  • Treasurer of  Dog Trainer Association under AVA umbrella
Over the years, Lucas and his teammate bailey's achievements include:
  • Singapore Kennel Club Agility Dog of the Year 2012, 2014
  • Singapore Kennel Club Jumper Agility Dog of the Year 2013
  • Top Agility Dog in the Singapore National Open Agility Championship 2011
  • National Agility and Jumper Champion Dog
Internationally, the team's achievements includes:
  • United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA) includes Multiple 1st placings Champion wins on the Singapore's International Tournament of USDAA Steeplechase & GrandPrix Masters Agility. 
  • CRUFTS International 2014 Invitational Championship Agility Winner & PETAS Singapore National Agility Team Rep.
  • Represented Singapore for International Federation of Cynological Sports Event. The IFCS 2015 WAC Italy World Agility Championship.
We would be looking out for a stellar performance in the coming championship.

Team Profile: Jasmine Chew and Breeze

The youngest team member, Jasmine Chew is by no means the least experience. Having kept dogs for a number of years, she have experiences in various active dog breeds including Jack Russell Cross, Chihuahua, Border Collie and Papillion.

With boundless energy, Jasmine has trained 3 agility dogs (2 Papillion and 1 Border Collie) over the years, all competing actively in Singapore Kennel Club agility as well as USDAA and UKI International trials.

Her Papillion, Breeze, is a Singapore Show dog Champion but beneath that handsome exterior is one of top agility dog in Singapore.

Competing at the master agility level in Singapore Kennel Club, he has obtained many top honors including a National Jumper Champion title under his belt.

Having qualified/selected for various International competition, including the 2016 World Agility Championship, Breeze is certainly a poster boy for toy dogs doing agility in Singapore! We look forward to their wonderful performance in the coming world championship.

Team Profile:Marilyn Chiang and Mira

Marilyn has been involved in dog sports for 7 years. She have trained dogs in various areas obtaining highest achievements in all areas including:
- Champions Show dogs
- Double champions in Pre-Novice and Novice Obendience on the same day
- National jumper Champion

Her current canine companion, Mira, is a Champion Show dog. But other then being a beauty queen, Mira has demonstrated her capabilities and talent in the agility ring.

Having gotten her Singapore Kennel Club masters title in 3 short months, Mira is certainly one of the fastest raising star in the local agility scene. With a 4th 1st placing in a master jumper trials, Mira achieved her the National Jumper Champion Title as well.

Mira has also obtained quailifer for World Agility Open 2015.

Team Profile: Elsa Soo and Sirius

Elsa Soo started in agility competition with her dog Whiskey and had won numerous competitions and events. A well known pair in the local scene, the pair was awarded Singapore Kennel Club jumper dog of the year in 2009 and 2010 as well as reserve agility dog 2014.

Her achievements with her second dog, Sirius was equally impressive, allowing them to complete at P3 level in USDAA and master level at SKC agility trials - both the highest level to compete in.

The Elsa/Sirius team was awarded Singapore Kennel Club Obedience Dog of the Year for 2010, 2012 and 2013 as well as Reserve Agility Dog of the Year for 2013.

The team has also obtained qualifiers in:
- USDAA Cynosports
- Crufts Qualifier for 2015
- World Agility Open Qualifier for 2015
- IFCS World Agility Championship Qualifier for 2016

Which means that the team essentially qualifies for nearly all major International Competition overseas.

Other then competing, Elsa was also an obedience and agility trainer with Singapore Kennel Club. She is also a certified agility judge for UK Agility International (UKI) and Singapore Kennel Club.

Team Profile: Aloysius Foong and Dawson

One of the youngest member of our IFCS agility team, Aloysius is by no means the least experience.

Having grown up with dogs in his household, Aloysius has a natural affinity with dogs and brings with him youthful passion and energy to the team.

His teammate, Dawson, is known to be a rock solid, reliable canine athlete that has consistently run clean without any fault.

Competing at the highest level in USDAA and Singapore Kennel club trials, the team has also won qualifications to International events like Cynosport World Games, World Agility Open as well as World Agility Championship. We would be looking forward to more fantastic performance by this team.
